A new title comes out for the Sony PlayStation Portable ? Monster Hunter Freedom. This game is definitely apt for gamers who are seeking to engage in a butt-kicking adventure while also taking on monsters. This is an RPG that lets you experience gore and violence at a whole new, but fun, level. You’re a wannabe monster hunter. The world in which the game is set is full of ancient peasants where you are an aspiring adventurer. Here, your main objective is to take down all of the home town’s fauna with tremendous fierceness.

Before you begin your adventure in Monster Hunter Freedom, you get the chance to personalize your monster hunter character by choosing among the various avatars readily available in the game. From there, you can choose the exact details of your character’s physical appearance from the face, skin color, hair type, etc.

At the beginning of the story, and living up to the role playing genre, you wake up in your bed. From there, you start scouring all over the village and looking at the entire scene. And while you’re doing this, you can look over some shops where you can uncover missions to join in and complete.

After visiting the various shops in town, you can now move on to the guild where you can find the best action there is. A Outside, there are elder villagers and wenches. There are village elders and wenches there, and you will be engaged in what appears to be tutorial missions at first, but are in fact real missions themselves! So mysterious and intriguing!

Be patient when you go through the first missions in this game and find them astoundingly simple, especially when you’ve come to expect this game to be real full of action. But don’t readily discard this as the barometer to the game’s overall level of challenge and missions. In fact, you can use these boring missions to acquire new skills that might be of use later on in the game.

Then you’ll get your first real taste of exciting action when you come face to face with an enraged enemy. Apart from that, there is also a freaky looking monster that circles the area, so keep your eyes peeled for it.

It’s hard to maintain your monster enemies within range of your eyesight mainly because of the angle of the camera. Add to that the fact that you will have to fight the different monsters there is with the use of the controls. But no need to worry as you can use your speed to your advantage and it will help remedy any problems you might encounter while in combat.

To begin with, you’d have access to four kinds of weapons: a crossbow, a sword, a hammer and a lance. And further along the game, you can acquire some more skills and weapons that will be of great use later in the game.

The game controls and camera are hands down frustrating in this game. But it isn’t enough to spoil an overall exciting and cool game to play.
