The all new Nintendo Wii, introduced in the fall of 2006, has become a great success in the game box battle competing with Sony Playstation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360. So what makes Wii so appealing, that they are sold out in stores within hours of being stocked. Compared to the other next generation game consoles the graphics are nothing to get exited about. What Wii has managed to do, is get people off the couch to have some fun. The new system is easy for all age groups to play from the 5 year old child to the grandmother. The other thing so appealing about the Wii is the price is about half that of the Playstation 3 or the Xbox 360. The size is also about half that of it’s competitors, and with the ease of setting up it is much more portable. The popularity of the new system has caused sales to outpace supplies. The easiest way to buy a Wii is online. You can always find a vendor selling new units on Ebay.

queued up, and when you return (usually with a prepaid mailer)
any of the rented games, the next title(s) in your list is sent
to you. If it is not available, the next game is sent out. You
also have the option of shuffling or adding new selections in

Do you know the FirmWare Version of your PSP

Tuesday 6 May 2008 @ 4:06 pm

William Fredrick

Well you have a new PSP, here are a few things you might like
to know about or need to know, how to check the correct version,
correct file formats for music, compatibility problems, and the
best part emulator for your PSP.

You can check the firmware version on your PSP console, simply
by scrolling left on the PSP’s main screen and selecting the
options in the following order: SETTINGS > SYSTEMS SETTINGS >
SYSTEM INFORMATION > SYSTEM SOFTWARE. Before you can begin
searching for and downloading your favorite PSP games, you need
to first check your PSP to find out which version of firmware it
currently has. Now under, SYSTEM SOFTWARE, it will have your
PSP’s firmware version number. Do you know the version of your
PSP ask yourself that question before you do anything to your
PSP! You can downgrade any PSP version except the v 2. SYSTEM
SOFTWARE will show you the PSP’s firmware version number

If your are uploading music Sony PSP firmware v 2 is the
operating system that runs your PSP wmv should be converted into
mp3 before putting these files to your PSP, as firmware of your
PSP does not support most of these old file format . Fact is,
high firmware versions equals compatibility trouble for most PSP
users.

Downloading games make sure that the firmware installed in your
PSP supports the game that you are about to download. If you
have encountered problems on your game installation, like some
games that cannot be started or corrupted files, it means that
your PSP’s firmware is not compatible to that particular game.

Emulator com/category/13 it is called PSP RunUMD UMD Emulator
v0. Now switch on the PSP and selct the PSP RunUMD UMD Emulator
v0. Real simply a PSP Game Emulator is software that lets your
PSP pretend that is another type of game console. Using a PSP
Game Emulator is a very simple way to hack your PSP and open up
new worlds of fun. To take advantage of it, you first need to
download a piece of software onto your PSP, called an emulator .
An emulator is simply piece of software that causes your PSP to
act as though it were an alternate games console, such as a
Super Nintendo or a Sega Genesis.

Note that although downloading and installing an emulator isn’t
(technically) illegal, downloading some ‘free’ console games for
you to use them on your PSP emulator might be illegal. If you
own Nintendo gameboy game, and you downloaded a Nintendo
emulator onto your PSP, and own a gameboy you will be able
toplay a game boy game on your PSP. not only can you play PSP
games, you can also load and play other console games on it,
provided that you have the PSP emulator software. A PSP emulator
is a relatively simple piece of software that you can upload
into your PSP, (emulators are sometimes referred to as a
‘homebrews’).

Make sure you know what version your PSP is before you try to
do anything to it. You know how to do that now and you now have
some more knowledge about your PSP you didnt have before.
Emulator for your PSP makes the PSP one of the hottest items to
have

If you upgraded your PSP or have recently bought one, the
firmware version you have you might run into some problems.

All New Puzzling Games

Tuesday 6 May 2008 @ 4:06 pm

Author: Victor Nunn

The adventure and puzzle genres of video gaming dates back to
the early days of video gaming and was quite popular. The main
reasons for this to happen were two-fold: they were not
graphically very demanding and they needed lot of time to
complete. Adventure games kept the player interested by making
them solving the riddles within. With a puzzle game, there were
chances for the challenges to get revamped up slowly and
endlessly.

As you might be aware of, the early champion of adventure games
was Sierra Entertainment. They created smash hits on the PC like
King’s Quest, Police Quest and, Space Quest. They also managed
to release early adult-themed games, like the infamous Leisure
Suit Larry series. These games were able to offer players a
chance to go on a journey in mythical lands or gritty urban
streets. Quite often they were filled up with serious and
humorous moments that would delight players for many hours
continuously.

Although, the adventure genre of video gaming has experienced a
serious downturn with the advent of RPG games and FPS games,
there’s still hope for the adventure fanatic.

And on console, most of these adventure games have mainly lived
on in the form of horror games. For instance, Resident Evil
series has managed to receive two major picture productions and
three sequels. Many of these console adventure games add in a
bit of action so as to help maintain interest in the video game
player.

The puzzle genre is a unique category of games because of the
fact that they never really utilize the full power of modern
technology. Instead their focus is mainly on timed challenges or
difficult problem solving that requires extreme reflexes and
quick reaction. The most famous puzzle game of all, Tetris, was
insanely popular on the omnipresent Gameboy handheld system by
Nintendo. In fact, Nintendo continues to heir the puzzle genre
of video gaming with smash-hit titles like Mario Party, Mario
Pinball Land and Wario World etc. Today, games are much more
user friendly than games of the past. Games are so user friendly
and attractive to the eye that in most cases, adults enjoy the
games as much as if not more than the younger generations. To
find out further information about video games, log onto the
internet today there is a plethora of information available
video gamers.

The Evolution of Video Game Systems

Monday 5 May 2008 @ 4:06 pm

Author: Morgan Hamilton

I used to be an arcade nut. I spent most of my time in the local
video games hot spots to play the latest fighting, shooting, and
racing games. I would also frequent the video game stores at the
mall with my friends. We would compete against each other in
popular arcade games like Street Fighter II and Mortal Kombat.
Video games were a teenager’s favorite pastime back in the early
90’s. I must have spent a fortune in quarters in those video
games machine.

It’s almost the same when I would tell customers how much they
had spent on video rentals so far. I always find this quite
amusing. The customers’ first reaction would usually be a wince;
then they would snicker at the ridiculousness of it all, but
finally most of them went home ticked off. I think some of them
wanted to have their money back. That’s just the way people are.
What they don’t know won’t hurt them. Well, most of the time
anyway. Nevertheless, when it comes to arcade and video games
systems, millions of people were hooked long ago. The only
significance nowadays is that modern video games systems for
homes have become more advanced and sophisticated.

Arcades nowadays are not as popular as it was during my time.
Most kid’s these days are investing in video games system of
their own. Systems like Game Cube, Playstation 2, and Xbox are
very popular. Why would kids go to local arcades and to spend
their money on video games, when they can simply receive a
system of their own during their birthday or at Christmas?
Modern personal video games are not very expensive and most kids
can own portable versions like the Gameboy Advance Sp. The
advancement in gaming makes personal video games more fun and
exciting.

Video games during my childhood and teenage years seem
prehistoric when compared to contemporary video games systems.
The first system I owned when I was in elementary school was an
Atari. Then later down the road, video games systems evolved
into Nintendo. These games are obsolete in comparison to modern
systems, but they represent the evolution of video games into
their present status. This evolution will only continue and you
can expect more exciting developments to video games systems.
Hop online and discover the latest games, models, and
accessories.
